OPM - Construction Inspector

The Construction Inspector will perform on-site inspection of civil-site project activities. Work is carried out with considerable independence and requires thorough knowledge of appropriate construction practices and codes. Construction Inspectors are expected to have experience providing services for projects of $65 million and greater.
  • Observes all phases of construction activities for compliance with design documents and client standards
  • Documents work as performed
  • Provides feedback for contractor requisitions for payment reviews
  • Prepares daily reports and attends progress meetings
  • Manages quality of the project and ensures schedules are met
  • Familiarity with substructure demolition, backfilling and compaction of utility trenches and pavement/surface restoration
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents for desired infrastructure rehabilitation, replacement and upgrades
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to build and maintain strong relationships with contractor and staff
  • Solid project management and organizational skills
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • Observes and enforces company and client requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 7 years of experience
  • Experience with Higher Education Projects Preferred
  • Extensive Site and Civil Project Experience Preferred
  • Experience with Parking Garages Preferred
